Travel Preparation

If you’re like me, preparation is probably the most important thing. After all, you don’t want to forget anything. After my many trips, I have now developed something of a routine. Here is a quick guide to help you:

Travel books

I am actually a big fan of travel books. I have most of the ones from the North Sea and Baltic Sea. Of course you can buy travel books from all sorts of places. It’s good to have a rough idea of where to start. Of course you can also just do a bit of research on the internet.

Google

Google is known to be your best friend, especially when you’re looking for special restaurants. Of course you can ask me any questions at any time here on my blog or on Instagram @beVintagey.

Time Management

After you’ve made a list of things you want to see, you should decide when you want to see what and in what order. This is very important, as not everything is open Monday to Sunday.

Passport

Make sure your ID card hasn’t expired or if you need anything else. When it comes to vaccinations, you should also check which ones you need. Especially in countries like Africa or South America.

Maps

Just to be on the safe side, I would always take one with me in case my cell phone doesn’t work.

Packing Checklist

It’s best to make a list of what you want to take with you in advance. This way, you won’t forget simple things like your phone charger.
