I never would have imagined how incredibly beautiful and romantic Verona is. If you only have one day, you’ll see the most important thing for your trip.

Julias balcony
Probably the most important reason to go to Verona. However, you should bear a few things in mind. It’s best to be there as soon as it opens, at 9 a.m., otherwise you’ll be literally crushed by the crowds. In the courtyard, you can not only admire the balcony, but also take a picture with Juliet’s statue and touch her breast, which is said to bring good luck. Now for the museum… you have to book your ticket online and you can only get in at a certain time. There’s not much to see inside, mainly a few paintings of Romeo and Juliet and film props from the very first film adaptation. And then, of course, you have the chance to take a picture ON the balcony. For that, you stand in a long line and then, once it’s your turn, you maybe have a minute to take a picture before the next person takes their turn. You can’t enjoy much of it, but it’s worth seeing.

Veronas streets
Stroll through the streets and alleys and discover the city on your own. You’ll quickly realize why I consider it one of the most beautiful cities.

Shopping Time
Verona is perfect for shopping. For both a small and a large amount of money. Everyone is guaranteed to find something here. Stop by Starbucks and try a Tiramisu Frappuccino…pure Italian indulgence.
Patisserie Flego
This shop is not only elegant, it also has some of the most delicious macarons and other little treats that will make your heart beat faster.
Arena
Verona also has a kind of mini Colosseum. It’s primarily used for concerts. It’s beautiful from the outside, but mostly a construction site inside.

Isola del Garda
Whether you’re in Verona or on Lake Garda, my absolute insider tip: Visit Isola del Garda. It’s still the seat of the noble Cavazza family. Book your tickets online. You’ll be taken by boat to Lake Garda’s largest island, where you’ll be given a tour of the family’s gardens and three private rooms. At the end of the tour, there’s a champagne reception (water and juice included), and you can try the family’s own olive oil. The tour is available in German, English, and Italian. This island is also very popular for weddings, but the cost is upwards of €10,000.
