Dresden is enchanting. And it has something to offer everyone. I’ve put together a weekend trip for you, with tips on what to see and where to eat! So get ready, there’s a lot to discover!

Friday, 4.p.m: Cosel-Palais
After checking into your hotel and unpacking your things, you’re probably very hungry. Even if you aren’t, you have to grab at least a bite to eat at the Cosel Palace. It’s a somewhat upscale restaurant, but the prices are still reasonable. You’ll feel like the countess who once owned this palace.
6.p.m: Dresden at night
Next on the list – sightseeing. Dresden at night is even more romantic. Opposite the Cosel Palace is the Frauenkirche. Take a walk around it and enjoy the architecture.
7.p.m: The Georgentor
…and a little bit more Sightseeing. You have to visit the passage to the castle.
Saturday 10.p.m: Shopping Time
One of my favorite pastimes is shopping at the Altmarkt-Galerie, with its three floors. Be sure to have a snack at the Play Off restaurant.
Vintage vibes are guaranteed.
12.a.m: Take a walk
Now let’s get to the historical part. Walk to Brühl’s Terrace and watch the ,,Fürstenzug,, (Procession of Princes) on the way there.
1.p.m: Eat Eierschecke
By now you might be a little hungry. Head to Café Schinkelwache and try Saxony’s most famous cake: Dresdner Eierschecke.
2.p.m: Dresden Zwinger and Picture Gallery ,,Alte Meister,,
Be sure to visit the Dresden Zwinger, the place where the king held his famous festivals, and the picture gallery can be found right at the entrance to the Zwinger on the 1st and 2nd floors.
5.p.m: Frauenkirche
Now hurry to the Frauenkirche to have a wonderful view of Dresden from above.
6.p.m: Time to eat
In the Sophienkeller restaurant you will find delicious and typical Saxon dishes.
Sunday Breakfast
Before you head home, you should have breakfast at “Kurschers Einkehr” to take one last look at the beautiful old town.
