Since I was born and live in Germany, it’s only fitting to write a post about this country. I’m pretty sure there are cities that are simply forgotten.
Here I’ve picked my personal 10 places that you have to visit at least once.

1.Berlin
Berlin is not only the capital, but also a very multicultural city. I’ve been there several times, although I’m not a big fan. However, you should see Berlin at least once, if only for its history.

2.München
Munich is the capital of Bavaria and not far from the Alps. Above all, Munich has a very beautiful old town. Whether shopping or sightseeing, everyone will find something to their liking. But this city is probably most famous for the Oktoberfest.

3.Amberg
Amberg is a small medieval town in Bavaria and my second home. Besides the annual medieval market, you can also take a guided tour in medieval costume; it’s a charming town that I highly recommend.

4.Meißen
This historic town in Saxony is also a must-see for all vintage fans. Its narrow medieval streets, an old castle with a wonderful view, and the famous Meissen porcelain factory are just some of the highlights. A visit to the countless antique shops is highly recommended, or simply stopping off at one of the many historic restaurants.

5.East Frisian Islands
The most beautiful places in all of Germany are the East Frisian Islands. Whether Borkum or Norderney…Here you can unwind and escape from everyday stress.

6.Leipzig
Like Berlin, Leipzig isn’t exactly my favorite. However, it’s very good for shopping and inexpensive. Several Renaissance buildings have also been preserved.

7.Dresden
The capital of Saxony and my second favorite place in Germany. The city was almost completely destroyed during World War II and has since been restored to its baroque splendor. The Old Town, with its palace, the State Opera, and the Dresden Zwinger Palace, are its heart. A visit to the Cosel Palace restaurant is also a must.
