Warsaw, Poland

When you think of a city with a particularly old charm, you don’t immediately think of Warsaw. But two days are enough to discover Warsaw and realize that it is a wonderful city that has just been forgotten in Europe and by tourists.

The Old Town

On the first day of my trip, I traveled with my parents by car. The Hotel Chmielny was in a backyard, hidden from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet very small and cosy. We got two rooms for two nights with a huge breakfast for €300. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Then we started our journey with The Old Town. What a wonderful historic market. That alone is worth coming to Warsaw for. At night, the city center turns into a magnet for young people. Bars upon bars with an infinite number of restaurants and cocktail variations. I myself tried a Polish cocktail made from apple juice, vodka and lemon and loved it.

Culture of Warsaw

On the first day we were in the city center at the Warsaw Museum. Since it was a holiday, entry was even free. You were guided through the history of Warsaw and especially through the creation of the Old Market.

On the second day we visited the Museum of Jewish History. Very interesting and recommended. Especially the section during the 2nd World War touched my heart very much.

The Wilanow Palace is also particularly beautiful. Until 3 p.m. you have the opportunity to look at the castle from the inside. The baroque garden is open until 9 p.m.
