The only city I visited in Switzerland was Zurich. It’s a place you have to see at least once in your life. Zurich has something very special and extravagant about it, it’s hard to describe. If you also plan to travel to the capital of Switzerland, then I have just the right thing for you here.

First of all, I have to say that I spent two nights there. But probably one night would have been enough, because you can easily do everything important within one day. It’s the kind of city that reminds us to slow down our pace and relax. From the hot chocolates and a tarte flambée in the city center to reading by the lake. There are really many different things to experience in Zurich.

But here comes my weekend guide for you with the things you have to see.

Zurich is THE must-see city in Switzerland. And even if you can do all the sights in one day, you should plan a whole weekend for it.

No matter where you go, you can feel the wealth in Zurich. If you’re not dressed smartly, you feel like you don’t really fit in. Nevertheless, the city has its own charm, especially with a hot chocolate to visit the historic city center. On the one hand, you are really happy to be back home after this weekend (if only because of the high prices), and yet this city enchants you with a deep relaxation.

Lindenhof

If you want to have a breathtaking view over the city, then I recommend the Lindenhof. The small hill is in the middle of the old city center. Tip: Take a book with you and make yourself comfortable on a bench.

Old Shopping Street

Walk through Augustinergasse. Here are many pretty cafes, restaurants and fashion shops for the full purse.

Grossmünster – Church

In the middle of the city you will find the Grossmünster church. The two bell towers stretch out to the sky. You have the best view from the bridges from the water and will give you wonderful pictures.

Drink a Hot Chocolate

As already mentioned, I recommend a hot chocolate and a tarte flambée. And believe me, it’s worth the money!!! In addition, you can strengthen yourself again before going on the shopping tour. Because the well-known brands such as H&M, Mango, C&A, Tally Weijl etc. can also be found in Zurich.
